All Square: Justice Served in a Sandwich

About the Film

Emily Hunt Turner saw opportunity for criminal justice reform in her restaurant, All Square. People leaving prison often face challenges and stigma as they attempt to find a job and a place to live. But at the craft grilled cheese restaurant, people with criminal records are employed and taken through a companion professional development program anchored in law and entrepreneurship in order to give those impacted by the criminal justice system a different future.    

About the filmmaker(s) 

Always looking for the next great shot, Slade Kemmet has dedicated his career to telling stories that make a difference. His work primarily focuses on the efforts of nonprofits, community organizations, startups and do-gooders.  

Based in the Twin Cities, Slade has partnered with organizations doing work from the United States, Central America, Africa, to the Middle East. He regularly works with PBS to create Emmy award-winning short and long-form documentary stories for television and web. Previously, he spent time working as a video editor and promotions producer for a NBC affiliate news station. 

An avid wildlife photographer and videographer, Slade looks for any excuse to get out in the field. When he’s not behind the camera, you can probably find Kemmet rock climbing, mountain biking, camping, hiking, scuba diving, or in his kayak on one of Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes.
